How JobCentra collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

1. Introduction

JobCentra ("JobCentra," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website and application at jobcentra.vercel.app (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use the Service.

JobCentra is built for Filipino professionals seeking remote and international employment. By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

When you create an account, we ask you to confirm that you have read and agree to both documents before registration is completed.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in the following categories:

  • Account information: name, email address, password (stored securely via our authentication provider), and profile preferences such as target roles.
  • Resume and career data: resume files you upload, structured profile data (skills, experience, education, summary), ATS scores, tailored resume outputs, and job application status in your journey board.
  • Job and usage data: jobs you save, match scores, interview prep inputs, notifications you receive, and actions you take in the app (e.g. generate resume, change application status).
  • Payment information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are processed by our payment processor (e.g. Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, log data, and cookies or similar technologies used for authentication and basic analytics.
  • Communications: messages you send to us (e.g. support email).

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service
  • Create and maintain your account and career profile
  • Match you with job listings and show relevance scores
  • Generate AI-assisted outputs such as tailored resumes, ATS suggestions, and interview prep questions
  • Track your job search journey (wishlist, applied, interview, etc.)
  • Send service-related notifications and, with your consent where required, marketing
  • Process subscriptions and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

4. AI processing

JobCentra uses third-party AI services (including Anthropic Claude) to analyze resumes, generate tailored content, and produce interview preparation materials. When you use these features, relevant portions of your profile, job descriptions, and prompts may be sent to AI providers for processing.

AI outputs are generated automatically and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before submitting it to employers. Do not include sensitive personal data in free-text fields unless necessary for your job search.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers who help us run the Service (e.g. hosting, database, authentication, email, analytics, payments, AI APIs), under contractual confidentiality obligations
  • Job data sources — we display listings and links from third-party job boards and aggregators; applying to a job may take you to an external employer site subject to their policies
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required

6. Data retention

We retain your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. You may delete saved jobs from your journey or request account deletion by contacting us. Some data may be retained longer where required for legal, security, or backup purposes.

Aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably identify you may be kept for analytics and product improvement.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International transfers

JobCentra serves users in the Philippines and worldwide. Your information may be processed in countries other than your own (including the United States, where some of our providers operate). We take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards when data is transferred internationally.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
  • Export your profile data where technically feasible
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

10. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be notified by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
